But the available options were frustrating. CPAP machines can be effective, yet many people find them difficult to tolerate night after night — the masks, the noise, the discomfort. A large share of patients gave up on them within the first year. I wanted to help create something simpler and more comfortable, so I set out to design a pillow built around thoughtful elevation and support, intended to encourage a more natural sleeping position.
